Moroccan Chickpeas

All the ingredients included in this recipe support sex hormones balance, cortisol balance  ,  thyroid function (except  onions and perimenopause/menopause symptoms. If you suffer from hypothyroidism, do not use onions. 




Ingredients

  • 400 g of chickpeas in glass bottle 

  • 4 tomatoes 

  • 2 tablespoon of olive oil 

  • 4 garlic cloves , chopped 

  • 1 oignon chopped 

  • 1/3 of a teaspoon of paprika 

  • 1/3 of a teaspoon of curcuma 

  • 1/3 of a teaspoon of cumin 

  • 1 stick of cinnamon 

  • 1 bay leaf 

  • Fresh coriander, chopped

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • 1 pinch of black pepper





Method

  1. Peel the tomatoes, chop it . Put it in a sauce containing the tomatoes pan with olive oil, garlic, onion , salt and pepper; cover the sauce pan and cook for 20 minutes at low temperature.


  2. Wash thoroughly the chickpeas with water, drain it.


  3. Add the chickpeas , a cup of warm water , cinnamon , paprika , curcuma , cumin and bay leaf to the saucepan containing the cooked tomatoes. Cook for 30 minutes at low temperature.


  4. Put it in a plate and add chopped coriander on top of it.


  5. Enjoy.
